The HALCON calibration plate is a regular array of circular marks with five finder patterns — the layout MVTec HALCON expects from its standard calibration objects. Rather than approximate that pattern, we generate the artwork directly from the official HALCON calplate description file, so the mark count, spacing, finder positions and polarity match your calibration data exactly. When HALCON reads the plate, the geometry it finds is the geometry it was built to.
The same plate is offered on three substrates so it fits how you actually light it. Glass is transmissive for backlight; ceramic is built for incident (front) lighting. Surface finish is a trade-off you can choose around: a diffuse surface performs more consistently across lighting conditions, while a polished surface gives the best flatness and the cleanest edge extraction during image processing — and for many setups a balance of the two is the best path. Whichever you pick, every plate ships inspected, with traceable certification available, and can be supplied blank or white-labeled with your own branding.
